Hannah Fraser is a highly regarded mezzo-soprano specialising in historically informed performance, with a repertoire spanning early music to contemporary works. She has performed extensively across Australia and internationally with ensembles and orchestras including Pinchgut Opera, Bach Akademie Australia, the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, The Song Company and Australian Vocal Ensemble.


Her excellence in early music was recognised internationally with the Ex-Aequo Prize at the XIII Ancient Fátima Terzo Early Music Competition in Italy, followed by further study at the prestigious Academy of Belcanto “Rodolfo Celletti” in collaboration with Festival della Valle d’Itria.


Bach forms a significant part of Hannah’s performing work, with recent performances in Sydney and further performances with Bach Akademie Australia in Melbourne later this year. Other upcoming engagements include Mendelssohn’s Elijah with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Monteverdi’s Vespers of 1610 and Cavalli’s L’Orontea with Pinchgut Opera, and Bach’s Christmas Oratorio with the Australian Chamber Orchestra.


Hannah is also passionate about education and outreach, working with Moorambilla Voices to empower young people through music, dance and art.
